Better but Belly Button

I am nearly all recovered from surgery! Yay! No more aches and pains related to it, of course the crohns still has all its nice aches and pains. But...my belly button incision is increasingly not happy. It has gone from a nice mellow occassional ooze to a bright red yuckyness. No, nothing serious. Really it isn't, but you would think that since the other incisions are all but gone...this one could head that way too. Yuck.

On the plus side, the bathrooms at work upgraded the toilet paper and paper towels offered. The new TP dispenser is causing consternation among several women in our dept. (it rolls manically and by mid-day the tp is gone and we are left with a roll sitting on top of the dispenser.) No. I am not using all four rolls and covering it up with the new tp dispenser problem issue.

I haven't read your archives, but WRT your Chron's; have you ever tried the SCD (Specific Carbohydrate Diet)? It was developed for people with IBD's and I've found it to be a lifesaver. Literally. Many people have dropped medication and find they don't need surgery. Some people just find they survive better on it.

There are a couple email lists which will be incredibly more helpful than the website (IMO), but the book and email lists will make a huge difference.

So many of the things on the scd cause such severe reactions in me, that I haven't ever been able to get beyond a day or so. I know some other folk that have done really well with it though.
