An ulcerative colitis err make that Crohn's story...with graphic tummy troubles in places...
I am sorry you have to go through that. Please know you are in my thoughts!
do you have to spend the nite? I thought you just one done recently
I hope not. Sigh. Yeah, I did. Doc is concerned about the mystery bump. :-(
I friggin hated my colonscope crap. And it's not the procedure (for me anyway) as much as my EXTREME hate of the prep work.TW, hang in there.
The prep work is shitty. Literally. The having to take half a day off of work that I can ill afford, to do such a wretched thing to myself all in the name of health truly is horrid as well, definitely. Usually, the procedure itself does not trouble me, true. This time, I am troubled about it all.
Let us know how it goes, TW. *hugz*
I'll be thinking good thoughts for you today and tomorrow.
Yes, you just had one, and to have to go through all of this again so soon...Ugh.
OK - I'm late in offering words of sympathy. BUT... um... perhaps you could try pretending that you are doing this to help people with tummy troubles everywhere? Perhaps we should start a comic strip: "The adventures of RAMBLEWOMAN! Boldly enduring colonoscopies! Nobly bringing humour to endoscopy wards across the world. Providing hope for IBD sufferers everywhere." We would need good theme music...Seriously - it is a big comfort for other people with tummy troubles to know that they are not alone in loathing hospitals/colonoscopies/doctors/prep/time off work etc. etc. etc. Which probably doesn't make you feel any better - but we love your blog and are sending you tons of empathetic, helpful thoughts. Honest.
Giggle. Comic strip. Uh huh. I will get right to work on that. Better yet, YOU should write a comic strip. I can just provide material.
